Sofiya Krauss

Dr. Sofiya Krauss received her Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University in Arizona. Prior to that, Dr. Krauss received her Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University (ASU) where she studied Speech and Hearing Science and Russian Literature.

While at ASU she created the Russian Language Speech Evaluation Protocol, the first method of evaluating language disorders for those who speak Russian as their primary language. During her graduate studies, Sofiya interned at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the Children’s Rehabilitation Center where she provided treatment, rehabilitation and support services to children with disabling or near disabling conditions. While at St. Joseph’s, Dr. Krauss worked with cochlear implants, hearing aids, hearing evaluations, and sedated auditory brain stem response testing. She also participated in the Barrow Children’s Cleft and Cranial Facial Center meetings where she presented numerous case studies to the foremost experts on neurological disorders.

In 2012 Dr. Krauss completed her fourth year internship at Pacific Eye and Ear Specialists and joined the team as a full time Audiologist. She is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and the American Academy of Audiology. She is fluent in Russian and semi-fluent in American Sign Language. Dr. Krauss resides in Santa Monica with her husband. She enjoys cooking, traveling and being outdoors.
